Building DJ/Artist Relationships

This is for the artist that's trying to get heard, trying to get their music to a broader audience.  To effectively get your record heard and to have the DJ play more of your records once one is hot, you must develop a DJ and Artist relationship. Here are a few things you can do to ensure that most DJ will ALWAYS try to help when it comes time for your song to get promoted:

1. Communication - Come at the DJ correct.  The DJ DOESN'T have to play your record so don't assume that a lot of them automatically will.  Be humble and let the DJ know that you will be happy whenever the DJ gets a chance to hear your track.

2. Submitting Songs CORRECTLY via email - Lookk at my PREVIOUS BLOG POST

3. Drops - Another way to get on a DJ's good side it to offer or automatically do a drop for them.  A general drop with the DJ's name said correctly will help show the DJ that your willing to support them and in turn, that DJ will be willing to support your project

4. Helping The DJ promote projects that you're not a part of - This is HUGE.  Alot of artists will do whatever to support that project that their a part of but once that project dies down, some are never heard from again.  To keep yourself in the DJ's good light, help that DJ promote their projects, even without being asked to.  This will make you stand out amongst the rest of the artists that the DJ sees and will open up more offers for you,  The DJ will want to do more for you if you if you are helping them on the road to success

AWWREDDY!!!!
