TO THE ARTISTS FROM THE DJ'S (SUBMITTING MUSIC)

To all the artists out there, whether Rap, R&B or whatever your style of music is, there is ONE thing that you MUST take time to do when you submit songs to DJ's, whether it's mixtapes or simply to have a DJ put your track in their spinning rotation. Do you what this thing is? I'll tell you.

IT'S LABELING!!!!

You should always label your tracks. And not just a internal label either. Label the filename as well. I repeat. LABEL THE FILENAME. Your track should look like this when sending it to a DJ:

Artist Name - Track Name.mp3

Not this:

05 Track 05.wma

SUBMIT MP3s ONLY!!!! MP3s ONLY WITH AT LEAST 192 KBPS!!!! A DJ will at most times throw your track out for unproper labeling or wrong file format. Send your best quality tracks to DJs. ALL VERSIONS of that track that your trying to push (Clean, Dirty, Acapella, Instrumental) and be humble.  A DJ doesn't have to spin or break your record so never assume that they will.

Submit your tracks right, get on a DJ's good side, help the DJ out.  This will ensure that the DJ will put you as a priority and help you out anyway they can.
